Coke bottles get turned into daytime light bulbs in places that can’t afford electricity
The Problem: A lot of people can’t afford electricity. And even if they can, they’ll only be able to afford to have a light bulb on at night. This means they will be living in a dark home during the day, as their shelters are closed off on all sides.
This is where the Coke bottle comes in.
If you were to cut a hole in the roof, you’ll end up with a spotlight on the floor. But if you fill up a bottle with water and put it in the roof, the water spreads the light out into the whole room. Add a little bleach in the water to kill off any bacteria.
