A school teacher takes kids from his school without fathers at home, and teaches them life skills (handshakes, making eye contact).
Raymond Nelson the teacher who started the club says, “A lot of my students perform well when they know someone cares about them.”
“I was thinking maybe if I have the boys dress for success,” Nelson said to WCSC. “When was the last time you saw someone fighting in a tuxedo?”
Some of the subjects the club covers include, opening doors, handshakes, making eye contact, and addressing their elders. Their motto is: “Look good, feel good, do good.” And if the kids don’t have a jacket of their own, Nelson has spares for them to wear.
